Here you will find a smattering of independent design samples, mostly of things I’ve written up on my own in my free time. Due to legally binding corporate NDAs, I am generally unable to share any of my highly polished, thoroughly developed design docs. Trust me though, they’ve all been praised as “very helpful,” “quite thorough,” and “easy to read.” Oh man, are you missing out on those.

“Unannounced 3rd Person ARPG” – 2025

This is a re-creation of a portion of a system doc regarding status effects for an unannounced game. This game was to be a 3rd person ARPG set in a well-known science fantasy universe. IP-specific details are omitted from this document, as the entire project is covered under an NDA. [GOOGLE DOC]

Progressive Municipal Insurance – 2013

This was a small, free promotional DLC offered for SimCity shortly after launch. This brief describes the content and its functionality. [PDF]

Ravenskye City – 2011

This was a Facebook ‘social’ game, set in the same world as Ravenwood Fair.

  • Dossiers on the full cast of Ravenskye City. [PPT]
  • This is a design for a short questline in Ravenskye City. It contains all the mission text and information for quest UI art. [DOC]

Green Lantern DS – 2010

This is a short pitch I created for a Green Lantern game that would have taken advantage of the Nintendo DS’s touch screen interface in a way similar to games like Drawn to Life. [DOC]

Unreal Class Projects

In my sudden and unexpected free time, I am taking online Unreal courses to further strengthen my aptitude with Unreal. These are brief sample videos of class projects, as I complete them.

Bad Bot

This first project teaches the very basics of Unreal game development. It mostly covered things that I already knew, but I have improved in my understanding of best practices and become more efficient.
